Classic Tomato Soup With Grilled Cheese

Hey Reader,

This week we are making the classic combo of homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese. Serve with a green salad and top your soup with some homemade croutons for the perfect cozy fall dinner.

And for Halloween weekend throw some party meatballs in crock pot to snack on, prep a French toast casserole for Sunday morning brunch, sip on some Mexican hot chocolate, and bake some festive pumpkin crinkle cookies!

On the Menu:

• Main: Roasted Tomato Soup - Better than anything from a can — roasting fresh tomatoes, onion, and garlic until beautifully caramelized makes this soup thick, velvety, and full-bodied.

• Main: Grilled Cheese - You can't beat the classic comfort food pairing of tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich.

• Side: Homemade Croutons - I’ve been making these for years and can confirm they are totally irresistible.

• side: Green Side Salad - A delicious way to get more greens into your life, it’s made in about 5 minutes with my homemade vinaigrette.

The Weekend Spread:

• Breakfast: French Toast Casserole - All the flavors of French toast and the creamy texture of bread pudding in an easy, make-ahead breakfast casserole!

• Appetizer: Crock Pot Party Meatballs - Made with grape jelly and chili sauce, they are the perfect small bite for any party, great for game day when you're feeding a crowd

• Dessert: Pumpkin Crinkle Cookies - Soft, cake like, and dusted in powdered sugar, these cookies are made with real pumpkin and my own homemade spice blend for the best fall flavor.

• Drink: Mexican Hot Chocolate - Rich, creamy, and spiced with a hint of cinnamon and a touch of cayenne, warming you from the inside out.
