Hey Reader!

When gardens and grocery stores across the South are filled with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, and corn, you know the eatin' is gonna be good.

Whether you’re looking for a fresh side, something to throw on the grill, a refreshing drink, or a delicious dessert, here are some of my favorite Southern summer recipes.

Southern Summer Recipes

Mexican Street Corn Pasta Salad

The combination of sweet, charred corn and a creamy, tangy dressing screams summer to me!

Watermelon Cooler Cocktail

A refreshing drink, with or without tequila to enjoy at any summer party, BBQ, or when you’re relaxing while watching the sun set.

Cucumber & Onion Refrigerator Pickles

No canning, no fuss, just sweet, tangy, crunchy pickles that are ready in a few hours, and they get better overnight.

Strawberry Caprese Pasta Salad

Strawberries, pasta, and mozzarella, tossed in a bright dressing, make a fresh, delicious salad that tastes of summer!

Barbecued Hot Dogs

This gourmet hot dog is so good it'll become a staple for every cookout, picnic, and potluck you'll have this summer!

Grilled Sweet Potatoes

They’re ridiculously easy to make and always surprise folks in the best way when I serve them with burgers, salmon, or just about any summertime supper.

Oreo Cream Icebox Cake

This no bake icebox cake is made with Oreo cookies, a creamy filling then topped with whipped cream.

Pickled Sweet Corn

Made with fresh corn, sweet red onions, spicy jalapenos, and cilantro, it makes a great topping for grilled meats, burgers, tacos, and salads.
